What does it mean for a wine to be “vintage correct” in taste?
I’ve heard of the term varietally correct which makes sense to me. But vintage correct? I mean, if a year in a particular AVA was known as a bad year or a difficult year, wouldn’t it be desirable to be vintage incorrect? Thank you for your insight from this wine newbie!

Old Beaujolais at Bern’s
Planning to have dinner at Bern’s in Tampa in a few weeks, excited to have some well-cellared wines. They have lots of old Beaujolais on their list — has anyone had good luck with Bojo over ten or twenty years old?
I want to get something with age from the list but many of the bottles over ten years old under $100 seem like they’re well over the hill. Are they on the list for curiosity’s sake?

looking for some ideas and information for my wine cellar I'm building. it's 5.2m x 4.8m x 2.4m high it has a double brick cavity wall. it has a set of stairs that come down into the cellar from the main house and a door that leads into a smaller dwelling. walls will be lined with a 16mm fire grade plasterboard aswell. possibly looking at a split system aircon unit run on solar to cool if needed. currently holding on average of 1000 bottles. looking at any input for info and ideas for the style/design. organizing. functionality. stock, efficiency etc

Laurent Perrier LP vs LA
So i ended up getting a good amount of champagne the other day, and my haul included Laurent Perrier's LP Brut and LA Cuvee. From what I can gather the LA is just their new release, but it was probably my least favorite champagne that I have tasted. The LP however, was probably my favorite out of the haul, which had a lot of nicer bottles as well.
Is there a reason for my perceived drastic tasting differences between the two? Or is it more of a personal thing?

Wine recommendations for my wife
I dont know much about wine but I am an avid beer enthusiast. Im looking for suggestions for Christmas. I know she enjoys menage au trois red wine and 7 Moons red blend. Is there anything along those lines you suggest? I have a Total Wine close enough that I shouldnt have a hard time finding anything. Thanks

James Suckling Masterclass
So the IG/Facebook/Google algorithm has me figured out and started pimping the “James Suckling Wine Appreciation” Masterclass.
Has anyone tried this?
