DOC Ciró Rosato 2016

Quick drive-by: 100% Gaglioppo, the flagship grape of Calabria. Cherry/berry and spice, mostly anise. Almost creamy mouthfeel. Very distinctive. I've always loved the Librandi guys–making wine in Calabria is not for the faint of heart. Between the Mafia and the government, a tough environment. A nice change from Provence pinks, and nicely priced under $15.
