Helping dad sell his collection (1975+)
I'm starting to inventory dad's collection to prepare it to sell. He loves his wine and collected more when he was younger, however he's not really into drinking the expensive stuff.
We don't have time to manage it one-by-one and instead figured we'd go through a retailer who helped us sell a few bottles of Petrus. Does that seem like an ok option still? Or should we instead try on our own?
Side note: we started with inventorying the oversized bottles and the champagnes. We're tempted to keep the 78's and 80's since it's the birth year of a few family members. Any thoughts on doing that versus just selling them and calling it a day?
