Acidic wine that doesn’t drown out everything else?
When I first got into wine I loved the really acidic stuff, barbera, chianti etc. but now I enjoy it less as it seems to minimize everything else to a mere aftertaste. Am I drinking the wrong stuff? I tried a whole lot of Italian wine and I got this feeling every time so maybe high acid wine just isn't for me but I do like the flavor of it. I just wish it didn't smother everything else.
