Winemaker variation from same vineyard?

Hey guys,

I recently went wine tasting to Napa/Sonoma and fell in love with Sojourn Cellars' pinot noir. I'm planning on returning sometime soon to try more Pinot producers. What I'm wondering is how much variation there is between producers/winemakers that source their grapes from the same vineyard? For example, Kosta Browne, Kistler, Walt, and Sojourn all have pinots sourced from Gaps Crown, Russian River, Sonoma Coast, so what I'm wondering is if it would be worth doing a horizontal tasting to see the variance between them, or if there's miniscule differences?

Thanks!
