budget sparkling wines
i've been tasting a variety of sparkling wines, looking for something dry that i can enjoy on a frequent basis, without breaking the bank. the most enjoyable i've found are segura viudas brut reserva, and gloria ferrer sonoma brut, both sub $20. i think these are better than the chandon offerings at similar price point, dryer than a lot of the other common sparkling wines, such as lamarca prosecco.
i find that i enjoy a short finish or a woody finish, rather than some longer fruity finishes, such as rose's usually have.
do you have any other recommendations? is there a better sub to discuss sparkling wines?
