Any suggestions for good non-alcoholic red wines?
My husband loves red wine, especially Spanish wines like Rioja and Tempranillo. He's not a heavy drinker, but enjoys having a glass of wine with dinner or on a Saturday afternoon. He's lived with Crohn's disease for several years now, but recently it's been getting worse, and he decided to give up alcohol a few months ago because it gives him nausea and colitis.
Since then, he's been trying to find a good non-alcoholic red to enjoy, but we've had no success. Most taste like boiled grape juice. We have tried about five different brands. The non-alcoholic whites aren't as bad, and the non-alcoholic sparkling wines are actually pretty good, but he really misses the red. I was wondering if anyone here has recommendations for a brand that tastes more authentic. We live in the UK, but I'd be happy to import from another country.
