To corkage or not to corkage

We are considering taking a nice bottle ($75) to dinner tonight. Already called restaurant – corkage fee is $10. Still….it seems kind of rude to byob at a nice restaurant. We aren't trying to sneak a cheap bottle in to undercut…although they are attempting to sell Kim Crawford sav blanc for $50…
