How often do you come across corked and/or baked bottles?
I was really excited as I opened up a 2010 Domaine Galevan Châteauneuf-du-Pape to have with some grilled pork yesterday. The feeling was fleeting however, as an odor which I can only describe as 'boiled raisin rum' wafted from my decanter. I tried a small glass and the body was like water, with the flavor matching the nose. Choking back tears, I emptied the decanter into the sink.
Overall I've had fairly good luck with wine condition, but this one really hurt. Any horror stories out there?
